The Guinness Experience
Certified Cicerone and Guinness Legacy and Believer Ambassador Jimmy Callahan will take guests through The Guinness Experience in Chicago Gaelic Park’s very own Carraig Pub.
Luckily for you, Jimmy (your Guinness guide) was one of the first three US Guinness Brewery Ambassadors, and has covered the Midwest Region for seven years, engaging hundreds of thousands of people on behalf of Guinness. Originally from the Chicago area, Jimmy has a passion for Guinness and the entire beer industry.
Guests will learn about Guinness’ rich history and significant impact on Ireland and the world while sampling five different Guinness Family beers. All guests will also go home with a personalized souvenir Guinness pint.
Please note, this event is 21+ and each session is approximately 1 hour. The Carraig Pub is located in the main building at Chicago Gaelic Park.
Five Farms Irish Cream Experience
Five Farms is a super-premium Irish cream made with Dairy cream from five family-owned farms in Country Cork, Ireland. It is the highest-scoring Irish cream in history and is the exclusive Irish cream of the Chicago Gaelic Park Irish Festival. Join brand representative, Shawn Scott to dive into the incredible story behind this product and learn what sets it apart from the rest.

Interested in catching a Gaelic Football Match? Head over to our premier sports pitch behind the main building on Saturday, August 26th at 4pm. The goal of this game is to select a team to travel to Ireland in 2024 to represent Chicago.
On Sunday, Youth Gaelic games begin at 3:30pm on the Main Field.
A Look at the Life and Works of James Joyce
August 26 – August 27
Visit the James Joyce Exhibit to learn about the influential Irish novelist, poet, and literary critic at our Performing Arts Stage. Joyce is one of the best known authors of the 20th century noted for his experimental use of language and exploration of new literary methods in such large works of fiction as Ulysses (1922) and Finnegans Wake (1939).
The Consulate General of Ireland based in Chicago has lent the James Joyce exhibit to Gaelic Park Irish Fest for the weekend. You can find the exhibit in our main building on the second level in the Celtic Room Saturday and Sunday at Irish Fest.

Irish Fest Mass
Sunday, August 27th
Each year we hold Mass on the Sunday of Irish Fest weekend. We are glad to invite you all to Sunday Mass on the Patio Stage at 1:30 pm on August 27th. This year’s Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Ryan Brady.
We will have a variety of entertainment and activities all 3 days in the Leprechaun Tent!
Friday – Kids’ interactive DJ (leading fun games, dances, and activities), snow machine, and small bubble machine in leprechaun tent. Magic show and face painting from 4:00-8:00pm nearby Leprechaun Tent.
Saturday – Kids’ interactive DJ (leading fun games, dances, and activities), snow machine, and small bubble machine in leprechaun tent and comedy magic show from 5:30-6:30.
Sunday – Kids’ interactive DJ (leading fun games, dances, and activities), snow machine, and small bubble machine in leprechaun tent. Magic show and face painting from 3:30-7:30pm nearby Leprechaun Tent.
Wee Ones’ Activities
We will also have family friendly activities throughout fest grounds all three days! Find the selfie machine for some fun photo ops and the big bubble machine for some poppin’ fun! Our GAA tent with a hitting cage will be located near the Leprechaun Tent, so wee ones can stop by and try their hand at hurling or Gaelic football.
Attn: Truck enthusiasts! Firetrucks and army trucks will be at Irish Fest for photo ops on Sunday, August 27th.
